Guidance for Calculating Properly Sized Pet Airline Shipping Containers

Crate should be tall enough for the pet to stand upright comfortably.

Pet should not have to bend downward to see.

Carrier needs to be wide enough for pet to do a full turn comfortably.

Crate length needs to be long enough for pet to lie down comfortably, while legs are extended.
Pet Measurement:
A = length of the pet from tip of nose to base of tail.
B = height from ground to top of leg or elbow
C = width across right & left shoulders
D = height of the pet in normal standing position from the ground to the top of the head or the top of the ear in upright ear breeds.
Minimum Container Dimensions are:
Length = A+1/2 of B
Width = C x 2 (1 pet) or C x 3 (2 pets)
Height = D
